Joan Blondell, circa 1932: legs of divine perfection

Photo: Chuck Staley

Mortal eyes, beguiled and raptured, feast upon the vision of fair Joan Blondell, enthroned upon a settee of ornate design, its fabric rich with pattern, nestled amidst a realm of opulent splendour. A smile, warm as summer's sun, graces her lips as she communes with an unseen voice. Draped in sable, edged with fur, her form, divine and shapely, is revealed. A satin gown, lavish and decadent, lies carelessly upon the furniture, while blooms of vibrant hue complete this tapestry of earthly delight.
