Linda Hayden: Great Britain’s queen of horror in the 1970s

Linda Hayden, born on 19 January 1953 in Stanmore, Middlesex. A distinctive presence in the realm of British cinema, she made her screen debut as a teenager in the polarising 1969 film ‘Baby Love’, and went on to star in movies with titles such as ‘Taste the Blood of Dracula’, ‘The Blood on Satan’s Claw’, ‘Vampira’, and ‘Let’s Get Laid’. Hayden's career was characterised by her willingness to take on challenging and unconventional roles, and she was often praised for her ability to infuse her characters with a sense of vulnerability and true authenticity. In addition to her work in film, Hayden did also appear in many television and theatre productions.
