Jean Harlow: ‘one for the boys in the lab’

MGM

Jean Harlow's iconic bath scene from the 1932 pre-code drama ‘Red Dust’, wherein she starred opposite Clark Gable, Mary Astor, and Gene Raymond. It is oft told that during the filming of this provocative scene, Harlow stood up and exclaimed, 'Here's one for the boys in the lab'. Alas, though this tale hath the ring of truth, there exists no photographic evidence to substantiate this anecdote.
