Friday the 13th with Joi Lansing, 1956

The lovely Joi Lansing, lost tragically to the scourge of cancer at only 43 years of age, in 1972. In 1956, she was on top of the world: Via Getty Images, the original caption: ‘Hoodoos, jinxes, and superstitions apparently mean very little to television actress Joi Lansing. Not content with tempting the fates by breaking a mirror and sitting beneath a ladder, she add insult to injury by performing the daring deeds on Friday the 13th’.
