Possessing the classic beauty of a bygone era; had she come along in the 1930s or 1940s, she might have been a leading lady to Hollywood’s leading men. Cary Grant, or Spencer Tracy, prechance. Instead, she was destined to be a rare touch of class, elegance, and poise in the 1970s and 1980s and in trashy television programmes and B-movies typical of that tawdry era.
